01Agreement to these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and Inspire Inter Web Design Company, a company registered in Kuwait (“Al-Diwaniya”, “we”, “us”), covering the Al-Diwaniya mobile app, this website and everything in them.

By downloading the app, creating an account or playing a game, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use Al-Diwaniya. Our Privacy policy forms part of this agreement.

02Who can use Al-Diwaniya

You need to be at least [13] years old to hold an Al-Diwaniya account. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and that person is responsible for any purchases made on the account.

Younger children are welcome to play on someone else's device — the account holder is responsible for what happens on their account.

03Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away at hello@al-diwaniya.com if you think someone else has access to it.

Give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date. One account per person — please do not create accounts in bulk, or use someone else's identity.

04Your licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use Al-Diwaniya on devices you own or control, for your own entertainment and for the gatherings you host.

You may not:

• Copy, sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the app or its questions.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the question database.
• Use the app or its content for a commercial quiz night, tournament or broadcast without written permission from us — talk to us first, we are usually happy to say yes.
• Remove or obscure any copyright or trademark notice.

05Games, packs and diamonds

The app is free to download and includes a full sample game. After that, you buy game packs. Games you buy stay in your library and do not expire. There is no subscription and there are no ads.

Diamonds are an in-app virtual item earned through play or bought from the store, and spent on extra lifelines and bonus rounds. Diamonds and game packs:

• Have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money, transferred between accounts, or sold to anyone else.
• Are a licence to use a feature inside the app, not property that you own.
• Are lost if your account is closed or terminated for breaching these terms.

We may change the price of packs and the diamond cost of features. Changes never affect packs you have already bought.

06Payments and refunds

All purchases go through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Their payment terms apply, and they — not we — take the payment.

Because of that, refunds are requested from the store you bought through, following Apple's or Google's refund process and time limits. We cannot issue a refund for a store purchase ourselves.

If a pack does not unlock, or you are charged for something you did not receive, email hello@al-diwaniya.com with your transaction reference and we will fix the content on our side and help you with the store claim.

07Rules of play

Al-Diwaniya is meant to be loud, competitive and good-natured. When using it, do not:

• Enter team names, nicknames or messages that are abusive, hateful, obscene, or that target anyone's religion, nationality, gender or background.
• Use bots, scripts, modified clients or exploits to earn diamonds, unlock packs or change scores.
• Interfere with our servers, probe the app for vulnerabilities, or try to access another player's account.
• Break any applicable law while using the app.

We may remove content that breaks these rules and, in serious or repeated cases, suspend or close the account behind it.

08Questions, answers and reporting mistakes

We write and check our questions carefully, but trivia is trivia — facts change, sources disagree, and mistakes get through. Questions and answers are provided for entertainment. Please do not rely on them as authoritative information.

If you find a question that is wrong, unfair or out of date, report it from inside the app or email us. We review every report, correct what needs correcting, and push the fix in a content update.

09Content you submit

You keep ownership of anything you send us — feedback, suggested questions, bug reports, team names. By sending it, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, adapt and include it in the app and our materials, without owing you a payment or credit.

Only send us content you actually have the right to share.

10Our intellectual property

The Al-Diwaniya name, logo, characters, artwork, interface design, question packs and all software are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. These terms give you a licence to play the game — they do not transfer any ownership to you.

11Availability, updates and changes

We aim to keep Al-Diwaniya available and working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may update the app, add or remove categories and features, or take the service down for maintenance.

Downloaded game packs play fully offline, so a connection problem on our side does not stop a game you have already downloaded. If we ever have to discontinue the service entirely, we will give you at least [30] days' notice in the app.

12Suspending or closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete account. Deleting it removes your profile and gameplay history, and you lose access to purchased packs and diamonds.

We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these terms, if we are legally required to, or if your account is being used fraudulently. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.

13Disclaimers

Al-Diwaniya is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, including any warranty that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that its questions and answers will be accurate or complete.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

14Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of goodwill arising from your use of Al-Diwaniya.

Our total liability to you for any claim connected to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the [12] months before the claim arose, or [KD 10].

15Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or cost arising from your misuse of the app, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of someone else's rights.

16Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait. Any dispute that we cannot resolve between us will be submitted to the competent courts of Kuwait.

Before going to court, please email us — almost everything gets sorted out faster that way.

17Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app develops. The “last updated” date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Al-Diwaniya after that means you accept the updated terms.
